The Trial
A practical test run, so the day itself holds no surprises.
The best time for a trial is six to three months before the wedding. If you only arrive days before, use it to look incredible at your Welcome Party or Rehearsal Dinner. We recommend the morning, so you can test how the look survives the humidity and the heat.
Before you come

Your inspiration
Bring pictures from Instagram or Pinterest — but only on models with skin tones and hair colors close to yours.
Your hair
Clean and dry. Washed the night before, with no leave-in conditioner, cream, oil or anti-frizz.
Your skin
Clean, hydrated, sunscreen from the moment you land. Hydrating facials yes — peels and deep cleansing, not in the weeks before.
Your veil
If you already have the veil, the pins or the headdress, bring them. We would love to test them with the look.
Honest advice
Come alone, or with one person whose taste you trust.
We need your full attention to give us feedback. Several friends in the room, and the focus drifts — too many contrasting opinions create confusion rather than clarity. And keep in mind: from April to November humidity here runs 80 to 98%, so we recommend wearing your hair up. Loose and wavy styles do not last as long.
The long answer
Everything you need to know about your trial run.
A hair and makeup trial is a practical test run by our beauty team. That way, your vision for the day and the result in the mirror are the same thing. Seeing your hair and your skin in person lets us choose the right products — and rule out an allergic reaction to a cosmetic before the day it would ruin.
What is included
Bridal hair services include Moroccanoil, so your hair is cared for and protected through the styling — at the trial and on the day. Airbrush makeup is included in the bridal rate and we strongly recommend it. A flawless, natural finish with no cake, lasting at least 10 hours and holding through humidity and heat, even if you sweat. We use Temptu Pro — vegan, cruelty-free, and free of parabens, sulfates, mineral oils and gluten. False lashes are included: individuals or strips, your choice.
Hair extensions are not included in the trial rate. If you bring them we can apply them for an extra cost — they must be natural hair, or our hot tools cannot touch them.
In the chair
Tell us the look you have in mind, and describe the dress and the accessories — every detail counts. Then we start building it. If you want more blush, less blush, sharper brows or a different texture in the hair, say so: we will not be offended. The trial is the moment for those conversations. On the wedding day there is no time for them. We end by taking photos and video of the finished look, as the reference we work from on the day.
The trial takes two to two and a half hours, and covers one makeup look and one hairstyle. Two looks only if you have booked a retouch service or styling for more than one ceremony.
The climate is part of the plan
Everything here is designed against humidity.
Wear dermatological sunscreen from the moment you land — the sun burns harder in Mexico — and drink water, a lot of it, in the days closest to the wedding. We recommend skipping the margaritas the night before: alcohol dehydrates you and the skin shows it. Hydrating facials are welcome in the days before; peels and deep cleansing are not, in the weeks before the trial or the wedding. And book the trial in the morning, so you can watch the look survive a full day of real heat.
